The Broadacres Ranch is located only 5-miles outside
of the historic mining town of Creede, Colorado. There are many
travel options available to those visiting the Ranch.
For those wishing to fly commercially, there are two primary options.
The two closest major airports are Albuquerque, New Mexico or Colorado
Springs, Colorado.
From these major hubs, guests can rent a
car and drive to the ranch. The driving time to the ranch is
about the same from each location (4 to 5 hours depending upon
traffic.) If coming from Albuquerque, you may wish to allow time
for a fine New Mexican meal in Santa Fe. A third option
is to make a connection, via Denver, with a United Express commuter
to Alamosa, Colorado. Once in Alamosa, a prearranged rental car
can be picked up for a 1-hour drive to the ranch.
For those traveling via private aircraft,
the Mineral County
Airport has a new 6,600-foot paved landing
strip, elevation 8650', for day VFR operation only. No fuel is available. The
Ranch will be happy to pick you up with proper notice.
